Jim & Jackie Shaver

        

                                                                                                                                                                                               

Jim Shaver became Pastor of Providence Baptist Church, June 1, 2000.  He and his wife, Jackie, are natives of Georgia.  Jim is a graduate of Berry College, Rome, Ga. and the New Orleans Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.  Jackie is a graduate of Shorter College, Rome, Ga.

 

Upon graduation from seminary in 1979, Jim and Jackie moved to Adams, Wisconsin where he was the bi-vocational pastor of First Baptist Church, Adams-Friendship.  In 1982, the Shavers moved to Center, Missouri where Jim was pastor of the Center Baptist Church.  In 1985, Jim was called to be the pastor of Southridge Baptist Church, Jefferson City, MO. In 1992, Jim and Jackie moved to Great Falls, Montana where he pastored the First Southern Baptist Church.

 

Before the Shavers entered seminary, Jim was an accountant and Jackie was a school teacher.  The Shavers have one son, Wesley, who lives in Central Missouri and three grandchildren.
